I have been using an SAFC2 but according to RMM it is not neccessary, as you increase pulley size it may be I dont know for sure. I had it from day one becuase I knew I was pushing past the design specs. But I do know a member taht is runing without a piggyback and he is fine.

IT comes with 310 injectors and it runs rich on my setup. In fact I was getting a system two rich code.
There was no code with the 2.87 or 3.12 pulley.
I am also using the stock fuel pump, so for the most part it is plug and play.

I've spokent to several people in PM that expressed and interest. Two of which I would consider serious contenders.
I also have an interestd buyer that is supposed to be up in PA that my shop found for me. So we'll see.

Morris, this may be a bit off-topic, but have you ever replaced your OE Lexus serpentine belt tensioner?

I was thinking about your belt-slipping issue and it occurred to me that on my naturally-aspirated GS 400 (equipped with only SRT intake, ECU, and MagnaFlow exhaust), I found that the belt would slip during cold start-ups.

A Lexus technician I spoke with told me that the serpentine belt tensioner spring gets weak with time and mileage. If your car has 200K+ miles on it and this has never been replaced, I am certain this could be a cause of the slipping, especially witht the additional parastitic drag caused by and the increased torque created by the supercharger. Afyter I replaced this assembly (about $135), the problem was gone.

I am not a big fan of 'cogged' pulley systems on street cars (I can get into the reasons for this if necessary), and believe a standard ribbed belt could be made to work well with this application.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I was just curious about this- I am looking at a supercharger system for my GS (with air-to-water intercoler), but it will be a one-off system. I recently did a "major service" in preparation for the additional power I am anticipating...

Best of luck with the sale- you've made that system perform my wildest expectations- it should sell quickly!! Looking forward to hearing about your "new power adder!"

Regards,
Bob

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it is a deadend.

1. The cars OEM serpentine belt and tensioner doesnt have anything to do iwth the blower, in this setup the blower has its own belt that only connects the blower.

2. The system runs fine for me up to and around 7 pounds of boost, I started getting slippage problems wehen I tried to take it to 10 and 12 pounds. So there is no slippage or any problems for that matter when you run the kit within the designed limits. I am convinced that the slippage I was seeing at the higher than designed for boost levels was due to the design of the system. There symply does not appear to be enough belt in contact with the pulley to give a secure non slip connection when you install smaller pulleys, again this only occurs when you try to go up to 10 and 12 pounds of boost. As RMM is so fond of saying the kit is designed for 5 pounds of boost period. I have come to agree, I even got it to work at 7 psi so I am ahead of the game as I see it.

But thanks for thinking about me.
