That's the thing, there is no exact "10 psi pulley" out there. It's all trial and error. If you call Vortech, they will tell you that the 3.12 "should" give you almost 10psi. Problem is they are reading it off a chart that uses a different size crank pulley than ours. This is the reason why a few of us had to go and have custom size pulleys ground because Vortech doesn't offer what we felt would get us to 10psi otherwise. The problem comes with slippage. As you drop the pulley size to net higher boost, it lends to less surface area and hence belt slippage. There is also torque coming from the charger itself which only makes matters worse for the slippage.

He had some additional bracing constructed for the Blower. It seems to have helped a whole lot. I'm not sure if it has totally solved the problem for him though.

I think he is running the 2.87 pulley, I'm not sure if he will have the same success if he goes smaller.
