Default FS: 18x8.5 RacingHart C5 w/Bridgestone

Hi,

RacingHart C5 is already out of production and is one of the most popular rims. I'm selling 4 18x8.5 rims with Bridgestone 245/40/18 (about 6000 miles). Center caps are included. The rims themselves cost $2400 + $1000 for the tyres. My price is $2200(prefer local so you can come pick them up). I personally clean those rims every single weekend and I also save the retail boxes for each rim.

Its my understanding, and I may be totally crazy, but someone once told me that usually when you buy something used, a general rule of thumb is to offer about 50% of what they cost new. So ill give you 55%??
4 NEW bridgstone tires from tirerack are around 850(-$200 for wear=$650) plus the racing harts you say cost $2400. so I have a total of $3050 for all
I can give you $1677.00 plus shipping. I apologize for the lowball offer but after months of trying to sell my volk av3's I also had to let them go for around 50% of what I paid not even including tires

Mike

You're totally crazy

I think 50% for used stuff is a bit low for anything. You don't pay 50% for cars that are used for a year or 2, especially if they're in good condition.

Oh my mistake I just thought the the general rule of thumb for merchandise such as this is 50% or so. Cars can be considered equity as well as a new house so I think its in a completely different category ray. Much different then someones used wheels. Its like apples and oranges IMH.

guys,

when it comes to used stuff for car mods, the value can vary greatly...persoanlly i value them at ~50-70%, depends on the condition/demand/supply of such parts plus it also depend on both parties' intend/eagerness to sell/buy...as they said, a man's trash can be another's treasure...how about take a look, and talk about it

50% off is a bit low IMO. I haven't seen someone selling used Lowenhart for 50% off, specially this is RacingHart C5. They ended the production long time ago so if you want them, you have to buy them from other people. I've seen the exact same rims but 18x9.5 at the rear sold around $2500 with tyres on EBay. So, relatively speaking, $2200 is a pretty good deal.

I guess you are right. The only difference is these are 18x9 with a couple slightly bigger tires.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...848619&r=0&t=0

but in my defense

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...721195&r=0&t=0

These people above didnt want to more then $2400 for these and im almost sure they go new for $4500-5000 w/tires

my point is, especially in this economy, if you want to sell something used you almost always have to give it away at a steal price. Im going to have to sell my gs400 for a 15-17k loss after only 1.5 years of owning it. If you are interested in the quick sale you might want to drop the price to around 2g. After weeks of trying to sell my AV3's i had to let them go for $1200

Mike

I have to agree with GS4Will......
It is more about the buyer/seller than it is about the product.
I personally hate having things around that arent being used...that means anything.....When I decide to sell something, I commit to taking a loss, hooking someone else up, and getting the stuff off of my hands and out of my hair....
I sold 4 18" SSR Integrals w/70% tread left on tires for $1175.
I also sold the RMM intake for GS400 for $100..heehee
My only point is that it comes down to the mood of the buyer/seller.....RH C-5's are a rarity as of late though....

there is always 3 or 4 sets that very in sizes on ebay. IMO not to rare but still very sweet rims.

Default I agree

I agree with manaray.

I think that 50% of new price for used stuff is fair.

Also, anything being sold is ONLY worth what someone else is willing to pay!

So, if no one will pay $2200 or whatever for some rims (esp. with this kind of exposure) then they aren't worth that amount.

Late.
