Default FS: Tein Flex $500

Ok, this is the second time I'm posting these up for sale. The previous buyer took it to a shop that didn't quite know how to install them properly. They scratched one of the rods!!! I agreed to take the suspension back and partially refund him in good will. This suspension has about 15K miles on it. Since one rod is scratched, you will need to send it into Tein to be repaired. I "JUST" replaced the dust boots and bump stops on this suspension so those pieces are pretty much brand new. They are also the new rubber version that do not squeak.

Keep in mind, I'm selling this suspension cheap because one rod is scratched. The other 3 coilovers are still in perfect working order. No leaks or any damage at all. I think Tein charged about $150+ship or so to rebuild a shock and replace the rod. I'm sick of dealing with this suspension. It is being sold for very cheap at a heavy loss, and sold as-is.

I will post up pictures tomorrow when I have time.

Selling price Local $500 or $550 Shipped within 48 States.
Paypal please add 2%. Paypal payments will be shipped out immediately.

Other forms of payment(money order, cashiers check) will have to wait 3-4 days to clear until I ship out. If you're a well established member here or have someone to vouch for you, I can ship out when I recieve the paper payment.

Yeah, too many people asking about this suspension lol. Try to pm again.

For everyone asking. The FLEX is a noisier suspension. You hear more of the thud when going over bumps, there are no squeaking noises. It uses solid metal upper mounts. The Tein CS and stock setup use rubber upper mounts. The Flex is much stiffer and is built for handling....and boy can it handle. Most BMW's don't even come close! The CS you sacrifice handling for reduced noise and comfort cruising. I've rode/drove in a few cars with CS and it's basically coilovers that lower your car while retaining that very soft and quiet factory ride. Your choice to decide which setup suits your needs.

I always read that the flex were noisy. Is it just thuds and not sqeaks? If so that settles my decision (flex vs. cs).

No squeaks. The noise I'm talking about is the "thud" of the tires impacting road irregularities. If it's a really big pothole or bad bad road, you will hear like a boom...lol. It's not like the stock suspension where everything is nice, cushy, and dampened. Even the CS is way softer than the Flex. The Flex is made for handling! Oh yeah, one more advantage of the Flex is because it's so stiff...most bump aren't going to pose a threat to your car or front bumper/lip kit. I go over railroad tracks without even slowing down and the front of my car is 4" off the ground!

EDIT: I've been pretty busy today. I'll get some pix posted up tonight.

It will leak fluid out, and eventually all the fluid will be gone. Once that happens...the shocks basically does not dampen anymore. If you buy this set, you must send it in to Tein for that rod to be replaced. That's the only reason why I'm selling this set for so cheap. It is still in excellent condition besides the one scratched rod.

Yeah, I'll be there next Sunday. If no one here bites on this deal, then I'll bring it to the meet to see if there are any takers. The repair will cost you the rebuild fee($100) and $50 for a replacement rod. Those are the rates according to Tein's website. I think you have to cover shipping both ways though. You only need to send the shock absorber (approx 10lbs), not the whole coilover. If you wanted to trade the 19's straight up sure why not , but I don't have any extra cash to throw out right now. I'm trying very hard (stretching funds) to finish my turbo project by the meet next week
