rx330 projectors retrofitted into headlights with bezel darkened.
Alright, i got these headlights already retrofitted with rx330 projectors and chrome shrouds. The lens have that nice cool smoky look (not the dark aggressive smoky look) and the bezel thingy inside the headlight has been painted dark gray giving it a more cool look.
Now onto the description.
i did not like the way the retrofit was done and since i have been gathering headlights to perform retrofits,i decided to fix it.I "baked" the headlight in the oven and did it all over. the rx330 projector have been put together and held tightly with silicone. One thing is the clip end of the projectors which hold the bulbs cracked and broke off (not by me, got them that way). This did not affect the bulb staying in place but was not good enough for me. So i fixed one of them and put it in place using silicone. The other i have not done. as the pics below will show.
Also, since i took it apart and fixed it,i used that opportunity to take off all the sealants that were previously used and i have not sealed the lens back. Therefore the entire grooves where the sealants sit are clean and ready for fresh new sealant (which would be better to avoid condensation).Therefore, the lens are just clipped in place as seen in the pics below but are not sealed and can be taken off as of now.
Other than that, the headlight is in good shape with no broken tabs.
it is sweet for those looking for that "smoky(not too dark though) look".
the projectors work fine as i have used the headlights and before taking them apart, there was no condensation whatever. However when sealing lens again, they have to be done properly to avoid condensation. Also the projectors can be taken out if anyone wants to put a different set/ kind in and this would be easier as the holes for the projectors would not need to be done over. Also, the lens can be swapped for clear ones if the dark look is not desired. The inner bezel can be painted to other colors also. i personally like it the way they all match up now. and if anything i would only swap out projectors.
Okay, i have explained it all as it is. here are pics of the set-up. i took these pics yesterday.

Pic 5: This is the broken clip of the projector. i just put in in place to show how it should look after its been glued back. next pic shows it off.
Pic 6: Broken piece taken off. Can be siliconed or glued back
I have listed the exact item up for sale as it is. this unit can be put back together, clean and polished for a great look. The lens look like they are scracthed up in the pics but they are not. they have minute scratches which are not even visible to the human eye. i can wetsand them before shippingI am moving on to a next projector(ls430 retro).
I am not looking to get rich off of this item but will not entertain annoying offers.
i am asking 200 plus shipping. if paypaling add 3%.
i will also accept trade this for anything handy or nice .
