It is a OEM chrome grille. You don't have to do anything but install it onto your GS. It came off of a 99 GS.

People are mistaking your thread for a fully chrome grill, as in the slats are actually chrome. Looking at the pictures they are still that dark black looking color.
You should retitle it to say OEM 98-00 GRILL or something because people are being misled thinking its actually full chrome. The chrome trim and emblem dont make it a "CHROME GRILL" by most peoples DIY definitions.
