Hey Guys,

anyone looking for an almost new set of wheels and tyres?

these are genuine 2-pc. RAYS(maker of Volk and many other well known jdm rims) from japan. they are in great condition, ~only 4 months old with ~5k miles usage. slight curb rash on one rear rim edge, barely noticeable from 5 ft away. no effect on performance.

Front:18x9, +37 offset, ~2" lip
Rear : 18x10, +37, offset, ~3" lip
tyres:245/40/18+265/35/18, nitto 555. ~75% tread left.

the lips appeared to be very deep due to its dish design and diamond polish finish. receive complements on weekly basis. one cop actually came up to me and asked about the set. :eek:

comfort level: as good as stock 17s if not better
clearance issue: my GS is lowered 1.4"f+1.2"r, no rubbing at all.

thanks guys...:eek: yah i moved to d-bar after graduating from ucsd...this is a pretty nice area...i wish i live in THE COUNTRY... though i am actually next to it...actually my goal is to move to san marino/pasadena/arcadia area in the next few years...

thanks to those inquired about this sale i will try to post the pic this weekend after i get my dig cam back...the minor curb rash is only visible from 2' and within, right on the tyre's rim edge protector. for those who would like to step up and give 18s a try, this is a great opportunity....thank you

Any pic of the wheels on the car?

I had an 18x8.5 with a +31 offset on the front of my car for testing and it stuck outside the fender about 4mm and 18x9 +37 will sit nearly identical.

HRE recommended nothing less than +45 for a 10" rear wheel and said a +40 would most likely rub.

Not trying to hate on your ad but it just seems a little off. Manaray the wheel expert said he is maxed out at 18x8.5 +38 f and 18x9.5 +37 (tucked).

Sounds more like a maxed out Supra fitment.

for pics, please click on the link that i provided when i started this post...there are 2 pics for clarification.

according to RAYS of japan, 3 local rim shops here in LA, PLUS ~10 cl guys who have seen/test drove my GS, i received nothing but perfect fittment remarks. most importantly no rubbing at all, even with 2 adults in the back and some home depot stuff.

actually if you were to call some reputable JDM importers such as VEISLSIDE, they would also recommend supra fittment on the GS for some of their rims such as ANDREW RACING DISH. MACKINS IND also told me many of the imported VOLK rims are specified for both supra and GS...i talked to one of the japoanese guy at mackin once about the GT-P, they only have the 18x9 in +37/+38(forgot which) imported for either the supra or GS.

as i have said in the past, this is my very first modded car, so i have been very very careful. luckily everything fits perfectly.

I didn't know that they had one offset.

I think the tires being on the small side of acceptable sizes for those rims helps.

The offset for my 18x9 Volks from Mackin Industries is +38.

But someone on the supraforums said that my wheels won't work for a TT Supra ...I dunno...

i drove will's car before, the wheels fit perfect, no rubbing at all, those wheels are really one of the most beatiful and classy rims i've ever seen. those have really deep dish and when you see the wheels while its running, man looks great! i wish i had the Rays revolver on my car
