see the center of my car is the only outlet for the exhaust where the 2gen from all I can see branches out. I am lowerd ~ 2 inches and I will hit that going up my driveway. If they where right next to each other it would be perfect. You got a guy that will take good care of me? I have someone that will but its going to require a full set up for his time and a side job. I just cant make up my mind on this. I am half tempted to just slap some new mufflers on and cut out the resonator and call it a day for ~ 200$. I think I will get minimal performance gains out of a full set up but it will sound very nice! this car SUCKS for aftermarket....not that I didnt know that already

I have to respectfully disagree. The reason I thought about parting and selling my GS was because of the Ricercato/Kranze 3rd gen GS. I so badly want to build and drive this car:

^^Lets get the party started then

For my style and taste I dont see much I like. I found the front lip, I think it was close to 2g's....Rims are adding up....I like the side turn signal mirror covers on that car. I think I saw them for ~500 somewhere???

Black cars are so sharp....but I dont miss cleaning the IS every few days!

Yea Mike, it's a pain (cleaning the car all the time), but it's worth it once you finish :-)

FYI-

here is what my exhaust looks like. you can see how much of a difference there really is. my car actually shares a very similar design and path that the 2IS does. I think I may have luck with a bolt on kit from a 2IS with a few mods done if any to it.

This is a great sounding exhaust, louder than the Tanabe MT; nice and deep.

Looks like as if you'd still have to custom it with IS350 exhaust applications for your GS430 anyways though, meaning, you probably won't be able to get a true catback for the GS430, it'd just be slicing off IS350 systems and making them axlebacks.

With the Apexi, you can do the same thing, almost any exhaust shop would be able to take the axlebacks and put them on your GS430.

I've personally heard these Apexi exhaust and they sound great, great tone for a straight six and beautiful sound at WOT. Probably sound deeper on a V8 though.

Definitely louder then the Tanabe MT, haha.

^ well the major difference is the IS the pipes both run the center of the car. On the 2gen GS the pipes come out on an angle. My car is ~ 2" lower so I would have to cut and do a lot of extending to make both pipes run the center. then another custom pipe from the inlet since it goes farther up the car then what it would on my GS. The only thing I should need to do on a 2IS set up is extend the rear, due to the car being wider, so a straight pipe if required to extend that. the rest will follow and bolt up to the OEM pipes from my car. At least to the best of my knowledge. I am going to try this and find out if it will work or not. It makes more sense and will sound good if I can make it work

many on here like the Borla for the GS. Sell it in the classifieds. Is it just mufflers or is it a full exhaust? I wish they exhaust was the same on the 3gen so I could slap this on my car and call it a day. It sounds soooooo good
