Default FS: Tein CS Coilovers (gold)...cheap.

OK guys.

Im selling my Tein CS version 1...the gold tube set...with 16 damper settings. I got the wrenches and all the tools...and even the instruction manual on PDF.

Unfortunately, from all indications....the front driver-side needs to be re-built...there was some oil leaking down the side of the tube. I have no idea what Tein charges to repair since they need to disassemble first. Call them and/or click on this link...

http://www.tein.com/service/index.html

To the best of my knowledge, the front passenger-side and both rears are fine. Im still running the rears.

Price (as is) = $400 + shipping + 3.5% paypal.

Fronts are removed already. l will remove the rears in the coming weeks.

Probably 20K miles on them. USPS shipping with Parcel Postage (2 weeks) is roughly $50....Priority Mail (3-5 business days) is $100. Again...this is based on estimated weight and size of box...plus, its coming from Hawaii.

Thanks for looking.

PICS OF FRONTS ONLY (gold tubes).

I was told a while ago they can be rebuilt for $75 each. Not sure if that is still the case now though

I am not sure if the V1 can still be rebuilt in the states. I have not checked for awhile though.

ah yes good point. The price I was quoted was to be rebuilt overseas. I think only version 2 can be rebuilt here

Out the door? If so, someone can get this and spend $300 to rebuild all 4 to new condition. $700 for "new" CS. What a deal!

Just to clarify for future buyer it's not going to be $300 to rebuild all 4. On average it's $150 per strut. No matter what is says the cost will be on their site. I've talk to Tein and an authorized dealer and that's the average. Depending on what needs to be done. I called about a previous set of Teins.

Although, this is a good price for someone on a budget.

Absolutely. Even if it is $150 to repair each. $550 for some Tein CS's with about 20k miles. I'm seriously considering these.
