i always thought that lip was polyurethane like the bumper.

The lip is made of fiberglass. It is molded on using a Lord Fusor glue that is made to bond urethane and fiberglass. It is not coming off. Before the lip was molded on I also added a couple more layers of fiberglass to the lip just to make it stronger. Most aftermarket fiberglass parts are made very thin and they crack easily, this one will not.
