I've owned at least 5 different grills for my 2GS...and the JP grill is by far....the best in quality (2nd to none) and fitment (next to oem).
The JP grill is made of billet....NOT plastic or fiberglass....so it weighs like almost 14 lbs. alone.
So finding one that is in very good to excellent shape will be challenging....but not impossible....you just need to plop down the benjamins when the opportunity arises...and don't try to play games and lowball. Just make sure its a reputable seller(member) and ask for lots of pics.

that is correct, they're made of billet. i've own 3 of them. wait... i still own those 3 = ] (and no they're not for sale). they are the best fitting grills because they use the OEM trim that bolts on to the hood that's why fitment is one of the best. the reason why they're so expensive is because each and every single one is hand made. the quality and craftsmanship is one of the best i've seen by far. so yeah, like pete said... don't low ball them and just make sure you're ready to drop the cash when it does come up and just make sure they have a good reputation/vouches.

nice. I'll be holding mine down for a while. that, these jp hand lasered original gs160 tails and the type II exhaust.. the value and rarity of these few items will only continue to increase with age
mr. pham, good luck with your search. you'll be the first to know when I decide to part out.
