Default 2000 GS HID headlight assemblies complete

out of a 2000 gs4...

a truck backed into the front of the gs4 and took out the grill and part of the hood.

these are similar to the last ones i was selling, however these lights are in better
condition and the center bracket on the driver side is somewhat there...

only 2 of 3 mounting points are available on both light assemblies...

i mounted them on my car to test them out, and they are still very secure...

they do not move when bolted to the car.

bulbs, ballasts, leveling computer, harness, lense assemblies are all included.

the reflector housing of the assemblies are dark chrome....

the lense surfaces are clean, no medium or large chips or scratches...
some little road debris marks, might be dirt, but i haven't cleaned them.

very clean lights...

as with my other lights i was selling before, you'll have to purchase some aluminum bar stock and bend it so that you can secure the center most of the bumper cover to the bumper itself.
$350 + shipping

Default How difficult to upgrade to HID?

I have a 1999 GS300. How hard is it to upgrade to HID lighting system. Is the wiring the same? Is it possible to get self leveling to work or do you have to add the sensors to the suspension?
Thanks, Jeb

I'd be very interested in purchasing this if the installation for these at a Lexus dealership wasn't high. Yeah, if someone could clue us in on possible costs, then that would be great.

does your car already have HIDs?

if not, i'm not sure about the installation costs...

but if your car does, it would be a simple replacement.

not hard, and i think bananaGS has info on his site on how to
remove the front bumper and headlights...

i know you'd need the level sensors for the HID leveling system to work, if you didn't have HIDs to start off with...
the leveling circuit looks to be about 6 wires...

Here goes kids, as I am about to do this myself: The autoleveling will not work, no matter what, because the sensors are installed at the factory, not the dealership, the factory, so there is nothing to wire them to on a non-HID built GS. Secondly, you have to splice some wires in order to get the lights to work, it is not plug-and-play, DevilDog from this board was nice enough to actually call me and walk me through it, although I may need to contact him again when I'm about to actually install them, since my notes make no sense to me From what I understand, you splice one wire from each headlight and one wire from the vehicle, making sure to somehow insulate it from the elements (rain, snow, etc.). The headlights themselves are a simple swap although you must remove the bumper to install them properly. And make sure that you manually level the path of the beam after.
