Greddy,
I know that the engine will fit, but you may need Supra TT engine mounts. As for the tranny, I'm not 100% sure, but I know there is enough space for it. The tranny is essentially the electronically controlled version of the Supra TT Auto (A340E). Depending what your overall plans are, this may or may not work for what you have in mind. Feel free to post here or email me if you have any specific questions.
Thanks

It "can" fit a first gen GS, but it is ideal for the second generation GS. The first Gen GS would be better off using a Supra 2jzgte motor than this aristo one.
This is an auto trans/motor combo.

Motor is now at a Southern California Tuner that specializes in 2JZ's. Please inquire at jza8shwoff@aol.com if interested.

seems like it's got most of the stuff (engine, tranny, ecu, mounts, etc) Seems like the driveshaft is the other problem. Could you give me a rough estimate of how much the installation and driveshaft would be, if done at the 2JZ-tuner you mentioned?
And would the swap be legal, considering that the engine is newer than my car (how are they going to know how old is the engine), anything else needs to be done? thanks!

The driveshaft would run about 400-800 for a custome driveshaft, depending on the specs and material used. I cant really qoute installation for the 2JZ-tuner, that is something that they would need to talk to someone direct on. I will tell you this, it is not cheap nor would it be outrageous..especially considering the amount and quality of work. As for the record, it wasnt the money that made me not do this project. It's more that I have some other things that I want to do now and I cant do both right now.
As for the swap being legal in CA, the safest assumption is no. However you are right that the motor is newer than the chassis year of the car, but it also needs to be a motor that already exists in the USA. Since this is a VVTI version of the 2JZ-GTE, its technically not legal. This may differ from state to state, but if you go word by word by the books, its not legal in CA. This is not to say its not done or cant be done, but just not "legal" street use.
