I have a bumper cover I purchased from a fellow CL member last year and I did not used it. It's Pearl White and in good condition. I am asking $175.00 and local pickup is preferred because shipping this cover costs quite a bit because of it's dimensions. It cost me over $60.00 to ship from the LA area to the SF area last year.
this bumper is in good condition i asume and how much you think will be to ship to chicago il. and if its posible to ship with out getting all demaged.
It might be rather expensive to get to chicago because of its odd shaped. It's not too heavy but it had to be shipped to me via frieght and I think it was $60 to go 500 miles. I don't know the cost to get go to 2000 miles. My guess is that if it's too much a new bumper cover would the route I would go with. I think a new cover plus paint couldn't cost more then $650.00 or so. Or repainting your own wouldn't be that much either...maybe $400.00?
This may sound funny but I heard Greyhound (yea, the bus company) is by far, the cheapest way to ship odd sized parts like bumpers and oversized objects.
its true, bus companies will bus your part to a certain station for you to go pick up. i use a bus company that runs up and down california from here to san jose to ship my sister who is attending college nearby in berkeley food supplies.
