Japan Spec is a bit stiffer.

im prety sure its softer notstiffer cause roads in the US are **** compared to roads in japan.. they ussually make the US versions stiffer. it absorbs the road bumps suprisinglly well even when at full drop.. but it can get a bit floaty when fully dropped.. but what do you expect from a comfort suspension

now i have the j spec and it feels great way better compared to stock. i have it at 28 in the front and 26 in the rear...
