Say for example, and I'm not using actual throttle percentages or figures, you press on the throttle in Normal mode: 1/4 throttle gives you 20% acceleration, 1/2 throttle gives you 40% acceleration, and you really have to bury it all the way down before the ECU downshifts and gives you WOT.

In Sports mode: 1/4 throttle gives you 30% acceleration, 1/2 throttle gives you 50% acceleration, and you have to step to 3/4 throttle to achieve WOT.

A throttle controller would shift all of that back, and in 1/4 throttle, you'd achieve 50% acceleration, and 1/2 throttle gives you 100% acceleration. Where ordinarily, this would not be programmable without the device.

Where throttle = foot on the accelerator pedal.

Make sense?

Right. Can't go over 100% throttle.

Does it affect mpg on the car? I would assume so because if it "lies" to the car about the exact throttle position then you'll in turn be wasting more gas. Correct me if i'm wrong...
