WTT: Your OEM IS250 diff for LSD with 4.1:1 gearing
I have the TRD LSD from the IS300 with a 4.1:1 gear set inside of it.
Auto IS250 have the 3.9:1 gear set, and manuals have 3.7:1 gear set.
I bought the Torsen T-2 LSD unit used off ebay from a 2002 IS300 with ~65k miles. When my shop inspected it, the pinion and ring gears had typical wear.
I bought a new 4.1:1 gearset from Weir Performance, and had it installed at Lextech in Silver Lake.
Costs for each were $600 for the LSD unit, $450 for the gearset, and $800 for install.
It has approximately 12k miles on it and has had one diff fluid change. Every 10k miles it needs to be replaced.
I'm giving it away. You just have to help arrange for the swap. I'd hate to see this get tossed in the junkyard.
This is a steal, over $1850 invested, that I would like to put in the hands of someone who will use this.
As far as I know, I'm the only IS250 in the world to have LSD with 4.1:1 FD gearing.
Someone asked me if I was willing to cover the labor cost to remove it myself. The cost to do so is so prohibitive, I'd rather leave it in the car than sell it to some people.
If you're complaining the labor cost is too high, then good luck buying another lsd and getting it installed.

Screw it, going away for free. You just have to help me drop mine out of my car and get yours in.
I put a lot of time and money into this. I'd hate to see it just get tossed away in a junk yard.
This is same LSD you would find in the FRS with 4.1:1 gearing.
