FS: Rotrex c38-81 Supercharger with accessories, LQQK
Sold to a good home! Thanks
Well guys, I was holding onto this gem in case I ever boosted my IS350 again but plans have once again changed. Grab this while you can as they are not only hard to come by but at $2295 (best price anywhere) they aren't cheap.
Rotrex c38-81 blower lightly used for only a few days. This was a "spare" and is in PERFECT working condition. All of the included accessories are BRAND NEW and never installed.
Includes:
`Rotrex c38-81 supercharger
`Rotrex 90mm 8 rib pulley ($80)
`Rotrex traction fluid ($100)
`Rotrex oil reservoir, oil cooler, clamps, fittings and oil lines ($175)
`Magnetic oil filter ($20)
C38 Series Manual
Myself and another member were prepping to make 400WHP with the c38-71 units...This c38-81 is the same unit with only a larger inlet (same dimensions just cut thinner by Rotrex thereby increasing diameter). It could actually be more efficient and make a bit more power.
IMO, Rotrex makes some of the best S/C's you can buy! I have nothing but great things to say about these units!
Sold to a good home! Thanks
You can be wellllllll on your way to boosting your ISx50 at a fraction of the cost!! (see list below)
Thanks,
Mike
Additional items needed to S/C your car:
Mounting Bracket
Crank Pulley
2 tensioner pulleys
FMIC Core
FMIC Piping
BOV
Boost Gauge
Air Filter
Oil Catch Can
8 rib belt
Couplers/Tbolt Clamps
Silicone vacuum hose, heater hose
Misc bolts, spacers

Sold to a good home! Thanks

I am very interested. I wouldn't be able to buy it until the 2nd week in January, so if you are trying to move it before Christmas I probably wont be your best bet. But, in case you don't sell it by then, I got a couple questions:
what crank pulley would you recommend with this pulley and blower for 8lbs of boost?
do you have any recommendations for a 3is inter-cooler?
Mikelucci, what would be the price on that mounting bracket and crank pulley?

FMIC Core 27 x 6 x 3.5 or similar
5.25" 8 rib crank pulley. Cant go much larger than that with the engine/oil housing design.
Here are some calcs to help you understand choosing a blower pulley size based on your application. If you want 7psi on the IS350 you'll need an 80mm pulley. The 90mm pulley should be good for the IS250.
Both the Rotrex C38-71 & C38-81 have a max operating impeller rpm speed of 90,000 rpm.
Drive ratio is 1 to 7.5
(Crank Pulley Dia / Blower Pulley Dia Inches) x S/C internal ratio x Engine RPM = Impeller Speed RPM
80mm pulley will have the blower at an 86,524 rpm impeller speed.
90mm pulley will have the blower at an 76,747 rpm impeller speed.
Both well within safe operating limits at max speed!
The custom machined mounting bracket and 8 rib crank pulley are going to be pushing $600 total shipped unless I have several produced. Maybe less though

Yes
Will this be on a 250 or is350? I wouldn't run any more than 7.5psi on either car but the IS250 has definitely proven to run 7.5psi much more conservatively (safer) than the IS350.
