Default New JTJ RX350 AWD w/Enform & HUD Pics

First Lexus in AZ with Enform. Tungsten Pearl/Black interior came out great. Options are Luxury, Comfort, Nav, Mark Levinson, HUD, Parking Assist, Tow, Remote Start. Need to take the car back in next week for the remote start and tow hitch install.

Just put Huper Optik Drei tint on the windows today and was visiting a friend. Car looked good in the light so I decided to take a couple shots.

Managed to get a shot of the HUD (white 0). It flashes in volume and source when you change the audio... looks the same as on the Lexus site when you're using the nav.

Few more pics. You'll notice with Enform, you lose the sunglass holder. Haven't tried it yet.

Thx. Question is... would you rather have Enform or a sunglass holder? I personally never use the sunglass holder and see real value in Enform.

There's only so much space in a car and it costs so much to route wiring etc... Remember, this would go in every car so the costs add up quickly. Putting it in the sunglass holder makes the most sense as it's essentially plug and play. Also, the Enform antenna is to the right of the rain sensor for the windshield wipers. Imagine if you had it in the center console and had to run the wire along the headliner or A pillar to the floor and into the center console/stack.

Lexus and most auto manuf design cars years out... honestly I'm surprised they were able to fit it in 6 months after release.

I work in product dev/marketing. It's all about tradeoffs and what you can do in a reasonable period of time for a reasonable cost. Everyone has their own preferences... best you can do is try to please most of the people most of the time.

Great pics. Love those wheels. Wow, the Lux pkg. I should get it, but didn't want to go the special order way or purchase the full-loaded 350 at that time...

Actually, I really worry about Enform system. Will it become something like OnStar?

tazdevl, congrats. Nice pictures. Enform looks good and I agree, losing the sunglass holder was no big deal. I've never used mine in 11 years.

I should get my 450 in about a week or two, hope it will have Enform installed.

Congratulations tazdevl! You picked the same color combo as my wife's RX450h.

Thx. The whole idea is that Enform is supposed to be like OnStar, though there isn't any kind of concierge service. Not sure how that is bad.

Can get directions uploaded to your NAV, emergency assistance and locate if your car is stolen.

Thanks. Sounds right.

Will this come with GSP-tracking system if the car is stolen?

Will your car be able to be traced if your wife calls to Lexus?

See above. Yup. It's a combo cellular/GPS system like OnStar.

Wife could probably find you if she needed.

I have to say the car drives a lot better and feels more solid and quality than my wife's 08 RX. Very happy with my purchase. Yes there are a couple things that I don't like about the car (mostly software related) but I'm 99% happy with my purchase.

This, of course, leads to: What do you get when you combine PMS with a GPS?? A b*tch who can find you anywhere!!
