Default SC430 PROJECTOR CONVERSION, hope you all like

Hey guys,
most of you know by now the widebody project SC430 I am building, and most of you have been a HUGE help for not just answered to my many many questions, but inspiration for new ideas.

I know the original headlights needed some work, so i thought i would tweak them a little.
the goal is to have all 4 on at the same time. the inners are bi-xenon, so if i need the high beams on, i can flash them. I might consider removing the outers completely.
I was considering the umnitza LED angel eyes, but i remembered something guys: we dont have BMWs. lets leave it to them and all the small budget import tuners....
also, ill add pictures soon of what i did to the turn signals on the top. i dont recommend anyone try that one at home.
and sorry the pics are poor, nikon battery was dead, so iphone for now. like i said, ill improve the pics later

enjoy...

I like it..... Im diggin the color of the light housing. Much sleeker than the factory chrome finish on the headlights.

Outstanding Landsdale!!! Very creative. +1 on the color of the housing as well. These are FX projectors? Wish I would have kept my 2003 ones when I did the sport upgrade.

How about projectors in the fogs next like we have seen on other extreme kits? We can call yours the first ever SC430P model. (for projector, of course!)

actually the FX projectors were too large to fit in the small cup that holds the fog lights. i swapped out for a thinner design. the schroud around it isnt my fav either, but i ordered 4 (yes, FOUR) other shrouds and each was too large.

the color is the same color as the front portion of the car so it all matches. you will like. but to be honest, when you put glass over it, you wont be able to tell. but it is a custom black with a resin mixed in to make it satin but resistant to age. more so for the car than the headlamps, but we sprayed it all the same color. the car is black pearl with satin black accents. wheels are the same satin black as well.

I will advise anyone that this conversion was a ******. if you tackle it yourself, take your time and hike up your skirt. i cal it the "OWL EYE" conversion. look at it head on and you will understand.
thanks for the support guys

Can't wait to see the finished and reconstructed front end. It will be a unique black beauty.

Oh...I see. So you don't think the paint will look like our 2005 Pebble Beach headlights?

no, this is a true satin finish, but to be honest, satin paint is whats in most darker colored headlights. GM, ford, Toyota, they all use kind of the same generic satin paint to lessen the reflective qualities, except anywhere a reflected surface is needed (high beam cup, etc).
but this paint is the exact paint on the front of my car. if my car was red, i would have painted them red.

did you use a heat resistant paint? normal paint will blister.

great question, its why we went with the resin instead of paint and clear. but yes, we addressed the heat issue. it will look nice, im also considering eyebrows on top as well when the speaker guy plays with his fiberglass. something custom, but simple.
let me know what you think
