Okay S-AFC II install part 1
Holy cow. getting those wires through the firewall on the driver's side was NOT fun. I took out the little fusebox by the driver's side fender and went in throught the lowest gromet. It toook a while because those grommets are SUPER thick. Took me a while to cut through it and then fish it through. I actually had to fish through the passenger compartment into the engine compartment due to the wide harness plug on one end of the SAFC harness. I have all the wiring diagrams for the SAFC II as well as the wiring diagram for the GS400 if anyone wants it. Now my question. There are two knock sensors. Anyone know which one is more apt to trigger? I can hook my S-AFC II up to a knock sensor but only one. Next up wiring it into the ECU. I'll tackle that after lunch.

Greetings Dan. This is another tweak that I am looking into so I am very interested in your results. Will you do pre/post dynos? Well, if you are tuning you are probably doing that on the dyno so a post install run is a given.

Actually I have an AWD Dynapack dyno coming in late March. It's on order but has to come from New Zealand. I will tune the car then and post results for everyone. In the meantime I'll just use it as a knock monitor.

Update! Got it wired up. I highly recommend you solder ALL the connections. The MAF wires on the S-AFC has these cheap connectors on them. Just cut them off and solder them to the harness to ensure proper connection. I also hooked up the blue sensor two wire (which is normally used for Nissans with dual MAF's) to the primary O2 bank one output so I can read the O2 reading. Works great. Everything working perfectly and I used Knock 1 output (grey wire) for the knock meter. I have the full diagram which I'll post later today in case anyone needs it and I'm including it with all S-AFC II's I sell. I'm thinking that I can get some good power by leaning out the fuel curve. Dyno results to come next month. Boy is our tach really off BTW. I know they're always off quite a bit but the GS is particularly bad.

Any thought of trying the SAFC with the Injen intake? Ethan got very good results with the Injen (particularly in the sound department) but to really be competitive, it seems like it needs something like the SAFC for tweaking.
