Default IS 350 HID color temperature

My driver side HID is dead on my 2007 IS 350.. Lexus wants $300 just for a replacement HID light bulb.

I’ve been reading on replacement bulb but confused by the color temperature. I see people post the OEM bulb philips d4s with color temperature of 4800K but everywhere I have look I only see color temperature of 4300K.

What’s the true color temperature? Where can I get it?

^what he said and you will still come up saving money when compared to the 300 dollars that the stealership is charging you. Also, different brands of bulbs often burn slightly different colors (from what I hear) despite the kelvin rating so I think most safe bet would be to buy a pair of 4300k just in case the aftermarket bulbs and your stock bulbs do not match.

Even in Canadian dollars that's a total rip. Change both bulbs - they'll age together and colorshift at roughly the same time. If you change just one, even if it's the exact same bulb, it will be slightly different.

^ Yes. Always change your bulbs at the same time, and get Garax 6000K while you're at it.

I'm always curious where everyone gets their information on the colour temperature of the stock HID bulbs. The fact is that OEM HID bulbs are 4100k Philips D4S 42V 35W XenEco bulbs. 4300k is what aftermarket sellers advertise to achieve an "OEM look."
