Pull the mechanical key out, then use the end of it to stick into the slot in the corner of the area the key came out of. Twist the key. It will pop the 2 sides of the key case apart and you can pull the electronics out and replace the battery.

Thanks for the tip! Haven't had to replace my battery yet, but i think i am going to have to soon. Tried what you said and it popped right open.
What they said... It just snaps apart, i just wedge my key in the hole sideways and it came apart easily, thanks for reminding me i need to do this today also!!!!
If your dealership is nice enough, go to the part department and they will replace it for free. The local dealership I go to do this.
Mine told me $8 which isn't a huge deal, but now that I know where and what to get, i'll swing past the Radio shack on my home and do it myself for a few bucks.
Both my fobs come up with the low battery warning lol. I'm just so lazy to get it replaced. Wonder what will happen the day the car doesn't respond!
use mechanical key to open the door then place the key fob up to the engine start button and press it. That should let you start it, however seeing as how cheap the battery is just replace it once it gives you the dash warning.
