This might sound stupid to owners whether the answer is yes or no, but can the front screen, the navigation screen, run DVD's? On one hand, it makes sense for it to run dvd's, because that's awesome, everyone wants DVD players in their car, but on the other hand, it shouldn't because, driving and watching TV doesn't mix. I ask because the DVD option for the back seat isn't on alot of used 460's, but they still list DVD as a feature on their car sites. Is it an error on their part?

if your car has mark levinson audio, you have a dvd changer and yes, you can play dvd video. but only with the parking brake engaged (which means the car is stopped).

as soon as parking brake is disengaged, video will go out and only audio left.

of course there is override kits that can enable dvd video on the front screen when car is moving

 

Hey Henry do you know if the backup camera problem is fixed with the ML+??

 

adam, i thought you knew! the problem has been fixed since about november! if you have 07-09 ls460 with ml (AND self park feature), they have a solution already. i have done it on a few cars, work perfectly. i believe for 07-09 ls460, there is still one rare combo (options) that the ml+ doesn't work on, but i think for most, there should be a working setup now

Nice!! I need to do this then!! I don't have the ML unfortunately, but I'm planning on revamping the whole audio system sooner or later but I guess it should definitely work 100% flawlessly with my car then I just need to figure out how to install it myself or where to install it for that matter

It's an awesome product, very straightforward install for our cars.

The rear view camera would not properly display when shifting into reverse, and instead showed distortion lines or even not at all. But like rominl said, after extensive troubleshooting, it works properly for the combo of LS with Levinson and self-park.

 

I have the Prestigeous Society Nav override in my Rx and LOVE IT! I dont watch movies but its nice tobe able to have someone look up a phone number or enter a destination while moving.

 

How and where do you get this?

What I really like about it is that it is activated by using the volume control on your steering wheel. I have an 2012 Rx450 so yours may be different but I doubt it. It is built in Japan, quality is awsome and it took me less than an hour to install.

So would it be a good idea to install both the Nav override and ML+ module at the same time? I need to go look at the install thread for them but I think I will have a professional do it most likely
