My IS Story: Day 1
Well this is my very first post. I just got my IS a week ago. This is my story.
I have wanted an IS for a long time and with the tripling of registration tax, I decided to take the plunge and bought the car with 2 days to spare before it went up.
I bought the car from Elizabeth down at Longo Lexus. I live up in NorCal, but the deal was too hard to pass up and finding an IS locally with the features I wanted was not possible, atleast with only 2 days notice.
No regrets. Elizabeth is great to work with. We did all the paperwork through FedEx and by phone. The most hassle free car purchase I have ever had.
I sent my husband to fly down Monday morning to pick up the car and drive back home the same day.

On the way home, my husband stopped by a couple of places to buy a JDM grill, Antenna, roof spoiler and Tein springs from Steve at Carson Toyota.

I FedEx'd an order for Xpel, but it won't arrive for a few days.
To be on the safe side, my husband taped the front of the car before driving home. This is the type of masking tape used by painters for windows, so it came off easily even after baking in the hot sun.

Here's the front after springs were installed. I don't want the car too low because I want it to be more practical and I will still have a bodykit installed.

Day 3
The JDM grill was installed. I like it a lot more than the original grill, but I think I want a Lexus logo instead. The red Altezza emblem is not right for me.

Tires & Wheels were ordered, but you will have to wait until they come in to find out what they are. I promise you will be surprised what I chose. Anyone care to guess?
The Xpel just came in.
I will try to post more pictures of it installed tomorrow.

I have the Xpel on my car.
If you want to see pics let me know.
I got the bumper, hood, mirror.
Then I had the guy custom cut 20mm covers for my headlights and fogs.
I also had the guy do the door cups and I would really suggest doing the same with the spare Xpel (you'll have pieces left over)
It will prevent all the scratches from long fingernails/rings/ whatever you or your passangers have on their hands when they try to get in to your car.
Congrats on the purchase!
Welcome to the family!
Stay safe!
