front brake judder
Well I'm trying to sort the Lexus out for our prauge trip and I'm getting a lot of judder when braking
So what I've done is open all the suspension bolts and let everything hang free
I've found the bottom ball joints very floppy so replaced them also the track rod ends not worn much but cheap enough to replace,
Antiroll bar links worn and antiroll bar bushes worn and replaced
Looking at the bottom arm where the strut bolts to well I'm not sure how much play is allowed in them, they move side to side when you grip the end and when bolted up moved with a crow bar
The bottom tension arms or control arms again move side to side and I can see a little bit of rubber cracking in them, am I able to replace the bush or do I need the whole tension arm if so where from
It's important to remember that u have undone all the bolts holding the suspension together the only bolts left in are the ones going through the bushes difficult to fi.d play when everything is bolted together
Has anyone else done this and did it cure the brake juddering
Thanks

The LS's are pretty sensitive to out of spec issues and vibrations show up quickly. Unbalanced tire/wheel, warped rotors, etc. You mention this shows up while braking so it is likely a warped rotor.
Take a dial gauge and spin the rotor to check for rotor runout. If that is ok, then I would suspect that there is pulsating being cause by the braking forces and it is related to a worn bushing. If the caster bushing has not been changed, it is a suspect. You've already replaced several other parts so knowing which one may not be easy at this point. Since the car will need an alignment after all this, I'd do the caster bar bushings if these have not been done. LCA and UCA do wear but I'd see if your current round of fixes caught it before spending more money and time wrenching.

They are exactly what I'm looking for I've looked at the bushes on the end and they seem cracked its these bushes I want to replace I can't find them on eBay I'd prefere to replace the bushes if possible but if I'm stuck then it will have to be the whole arm, I'm getting no luck here in the UK could someone point me in the right direction please Lexus ls400 1995 ucf20. Check out below. Pure Drifter has had experience with the aftermarket strut rod / bar bushings and says they are total crap. I would heed his advice and stick to OEM. Especially, for the front. Unfortunately, you can't buy just an the OEM strut rod / bar bushing. Cheapest I have found them in the States is $105.00 for the whole bar. I need to replace mine as well.

actually you can buy just the rubber bushing from Lexus, they are part no. 4867440051 and usually go for ~$35-40/each. you need 2.

I just went to Sewell and double checked. You are correct. It is right there in front of me. Maybe since it was labeled as front bar cushion that threw me off... LOL Well, I totally stand corrected! Thanks, PD, again...
