Default Safest product for removing road paint

Howdy and good Saturday to you all. So unfortunately the fraudulent dealer who sold me my car used glaze to cover a lot of defects in the paint, road splatter being one.

At some point the PO ran over some road paint and there are a bunch of tiny white dots over the car. I was going to clay bar it but I'm not sure it will work. I'm worried using a road paint remover will soften the clear coat. So I'm looking for a safe product to clean off road paint and was wondering what might work for removing it.

This all might be fixed when I detail the paint with these steps. Wash, dry and use auto paint cleaner for decontamination. Then clay bar, wash dry, then Meguiars ultra cut compound, wash,Chemical guys Black light (black car), wax (turtle is all I have), wash and dry. Maybe a top coat wax also.

I would try clay bar first. Have doubts because clay bar was first discovered in body shops with solving over spray.

Cool thanks. I know its bad but I can chip one off with my fingernail. Id bet the cut compound would do something right?

Chipping off with fingernail good idea because at least you won't damage good paint. Might want to try a hairdry6on hot and see if that softens the paint. This trick does wonders on dealer stickers on the back and debadging the Lexus numbers and letters. For instance, I removed AWD from back.

Unless your old school like an ls430 with the badges. The clay bar Ill use with soapy water but it laves scuff marks? I plan on using the ultra cut 105, by hand, which Im a little worried about the clear coat being soft and going through it. But by then the road paint has to be gone I hope.

I use to use easy off oven cleaner and wash the area right away. Don't spray on car use a container and a soft detail brush.

Post pics of what we're talking about first. depending on how bad it is, could change the recommendation. clay isn't a bad start, but you might need to do some polishing after. you might want to pre saturate those paint dots so get them as loose and wet as possible otherwise you'll have to use full force with your clay which could cause additional damage.
