Default Costco bottle of olive oil cleaning advice….

So there are about 2 liters of olive oil on my passenger floor….

The car wash wouldn’t touch it… I’m in the brain storming phase for what to do. For now I’m thinking…

1. Cut out the carpet and clean it up and put down some weather tech mats. (Wish now I had done this for the family car)

2. Try another car wash.

3. Lexus for new carpet….

Touch base with a professional detailer. I feel for you. Christmas of 2022, my wife and I were responsible for providing the baked ham for our small family dinner (5 people). You know when you cook a ham and you get all the goo in the bottom of the pan? For whatever reason, my wife decided it would be best to bring that mess home and put it in our trash rather than my mother-in-law's trash. Guess what got spilled all over the back of her brand new (bought in May of 2022) NX 350? A detailer got it out.

It has also soaked the padding under the carpet. That needs to be replaced. Maybe you can cut out the section of padding and clean the carpet. Take it to a car detailer.

Yup the carpet padding was a better sponge than a fine Italian loaf of bread. So it’s going away to be replaced. Along with a good steam clean I should be ok again.
