Help: How do I repair a tiny chip on the trunk and front bumper?
To Anyone,
I have a tiny chip (can see the primer) on the trunk and front bumper?
Is this something I can repair without taking my car to a shop?
thanks....teeman3

Try this product:
http://www.autovisuals.com/
The company sells an automotive touch-up paint pen. Don't waste time with the touch-up paint bottles from the dealer, as it tends to create bumps when you touch-up w/ the brush. This unique product is a felt pen with urethane paint, and it goes on pretty smooth and very thin, so it doesn't get the "bump" effect that brushes have. I use it on my black '99 GS400, and it works wonders. The trick is to put on a couple of thin layers to build it up to match the depth of the chip and the result will look extremely professional. I wouldn't use anything else other than the pen-type touch-up paint.
Another company sells a pretty similar product:
http://www.paintscratch.com/
They sell touch-up bottles as well, but skip it and go for the pen version instead.
Pens from either company is about $17.

I only bought the pen from Autovisuals.com. I didn't get the primer and clearcoat (or is this from paintscratch.com?). Maybe someone else can chime in if they bought the primer and clearcoat? FYI, just using the pen worked pretty good--I put on a good coat of wax about 5 days after applying the paint.
