Check that link out, Luster Lace started out with a neat idea; polishing strips that you use in an way similar to shining boots, back & forth motions with treated strips. Originally designed for motorcycles, they work super on car exhaust tips. They sell a myriad of products now, but look into their lace on that website if you want something specifically engineered for your purpose.
Some WD40 should remove the tar, then you can polish with just about anything from an all metal polish , to even automotive rubbing compound or polish. I've used the latter on my GS4 and the oem tips look like chrome.
Anybody else got suggestions?

I know a lot of people here use Eagle One Nevr-Dull wadding polish. Easy to use, pretty cheap (about $4 to $5) and available at any auto parts store or Wal-Mart. You'll be amazed at how clean and shiny the exhaust pipe(s) will look afterwards ![Cool](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)
