Can't clean spot off dash
My RX330 is 3 mo old and we have a shiny, greasy spot on top of the dash. I think it has been there since new and I have used about everything I can think of to clean it without success. Anyone with any suggestions?

I really don't know what it could be. If it's oil based, some Dawn dish detergent and water might break it up enough to dull it back down (maybe you've already tried that?) You really don't want to start testing solvents on it, because you may end up taking the color right off it, and then the cure is worse than the disease.
You could even try some polish, a fine grit type like a swirl remover, even a fine cut rubbing compound as a last resort won't hurt if you rub gently just on the spot. You can then reclean the area and try apply something like 303 Aerospace Protectant to give the whole dash a more even look.
If it appears to be a manufacturing flaw in the finish of the dash, you may have to talk to lexus about it, although it may be hard to get them to admit that it's their flaw and it isn't something you've spilled etc.
Best of luck.
