gas spill :(
I filled up today and the pump didn't stop when the tank became full. I stopped it as soon as I could, but gasoline spilled over onto the rear quarter panel.
Any ideas on what I should do to prevent corrosion and further paint damage? I had a coat of wax on there so I think it did a good job of protecting the paint. There isn't a dull section where the gasoline dripped off.
Also, any ideas on what I should do with the gas station? I filed a complaint with the attendant, but he told me that the owner/manager will be in on Monday.
Thanks,
-Brian.

Brian, I wouldn't stress about it too much, cured urethane enamels are very solvent resistent these days, especially since you had some wax on it. I would just wash the car and that area real well and reapply some wax.
The worst thing in gasoline as it pertains to our paint is probably xylene, and there's a slight chance it could cause crazing/checking (tiny cracks) in the resin system of the clear, but usually that's not the case. At least you have it on record with the management, in the event it does.
