i personally think a good paste wax and an orbital buffer will do just as good as zaino.

didn't want to hijack this thread, but i must state the two main reasons i love zaino:

1. easy application: you can apply the wax on the whole/entire car under super hot sun and then buff.

2. the small amount that it requires to do the whole car. i had a 1 oz mixture of zfx and z3 for my wagon. i was able to put on 2 coats and had a tiny bit left over.

so that's that.

in the end, to the naked eye, most of us can't tell the difference between zymol and zaino...however, i just feel zaino is easier to apply and keep the shine for longer that's all. it is very economical as well.

but persian's car still looks great without zaino.

darden, I have not seen any cars done with Zaino that had good depth and clarity ............. they looked shiny but that was it !!.......maybe the cars I saw were not done right , can you explain this ? ?

not sure what you mean exactly by depth and clariy...

here's my car done with zaino...you can see bigger versions in my gallery. i think the reflections on my car shows depth and are pretty clear.

Default By Hand?

Did you detail by hand? With an orbital? Please enlighten. I am a little afraid of using an orbital on my RX, but might be willing to try it if I thought I could do it without incorporating swirl marks in the paint.
