Question

OK...
I am ready to plunge into the Zaino world of polish...
I just want to get this right.
Should I use the Z-1 stuff first to prepare the car?
Then the Z-2?
Or should i just go to the Z-2 right away?
Where can this stuff be purchased?
Web only?....I went to Murray's and they didnt have any, so I was just wondering.
What should I use to apply this stuff? I cotton bath towel or just some terry cloths?
I just want to get it right so that I dont screw up my paint.
Is waxing required after this process?
It's supposed to be like 70 degrees in Michigan here this weekend, so I am excited.
You guys in cali have it easy....it's warm, and NO pot holes.
Thanks in advance for any input.
MIKE

Thumbs up Zaino

Mike - Quick procedure description. Wash the car in Dawn to strip off the old wax. After it's dry, apply Z-1 to entire car & then follow up with either Z-2 ( for clear coats ) ; Z-3 ( non-cleared ); or Z-5 ( to reduce swirls ). DO NOT wipe off the Z-1 - apply the Z of your choice right over the top of it. BTW - if your GS is black, it ISN'T clear coated but the other colors are ( use Z-3 ). The big difference between Z-2 & Z-3 is some paint-perserving ingredients in lieu of clear. Let this double coat dry ( takes awhile ) & remove with a deep nap name brand white cotton towel ( Cannon; Fieldcrest; etc ). Wait 24 hours if it's under 70 degrees outside or 6 hours if over & apply ( if desired ) another coat of Z-2;3; or 5 - don't need the Z-1 for another 6 months or so. Use the Z-6 spray between top coats if desired ( seems to increase the shine ). Do the drying time thing again & repeat procedure until U're happy with the shine or swirl reduction ( if using Z-5 ). Always finish with Z-2 or 3 because they have higher optical properties than Z-5 ( ie, shines better ). Figure on the car being down for the weekend due to the drying times. The next time U Z the car, it'll be quicker as it might not need the multiple coats ( assuming it's not swirled again ). Zaino includes an applicator with each order & more detailed instructions, plus Sal Zaino responds to every E-mail personally. Order form's on the website www.zainobros.com & read his Tip section while U're there!! Good stuff!! Wasn't so quick, was it??
