Inside my 1999 ES 300, the door material, whatever it may be has begun to dull, showing black smudges of wear and is beginning a stage of decline that will lead to a bad look. I was wondering whether or not anyone else had this seemingly usual wear on their doors (around the handle, that material) and if so, how they cleaned it.

If it's vinyl, I'd clean it with Meguiar's #39 and condition it with Meguiar's #40. These items are available as a kit (RESREM03) for $20.
