spraying vinylex on your tires will give it a satin look. Not glossy, but not flat. Just spray on, pat it dry with a towel and your good.

i have been applying the meguiars using a sponge but i hated how my hand got all greasy and oily... maybe i was using too much.
Buy a box of nitrile or laytex disposable gloves ($3-$4/ box of 50) and you can keep your hands from getting greasy.

You've given me a great idea since my workplace uses 100's of latex rubber gloves (for cleanroom use)

I use Meguirs product and it is very long lasting. The only problem is the above.
once you wipe it on you then need to wipe the acess off so you dont get [overspray]

Darius here's what you do:

Get a bottle of SQUIRT ON (not the spray) Tire Wet by Black Magic (Pep Boys sells it)

Get a Tire Shine foam applicator

Squirt it on the applicator and rub liberally-no runs, no mess
Where do I find the foam applicator? I went to Kragen & Autozone and couldn't find it.

Thanks!

darius you dont have to have a foam you can use a cloth applicator like the ones you use to wax your car with just dont ever use it on your paint again keep it for the tires !!

Default Tire shine applicator

In addition to the cloth and foam pads, you can use a good-sized paint brush to do your tire dressing applications. It will work just as great as the other alternatives.

yes but the paint brush applies too much dressing that needs to be wiped off before driving

This is what I use. It leaves a clean matte black finish, basically making your tire look like new. It doesn't have the bling bling shine, just a clean smart look. It lasts for a while too. I used it on my dash as well. It's even safe for leather

I don't have any tire-specific shots. But here's a corner shot of my old bald Michelins with some 303 on them. Hope this helps!!

Thanks! I like that look. It looks clean and doesn't appear to attract a lot of dirt!

Do you guys that are using something other than Armor-All get a lot of dirt collecting on the tire?

I'll chime in for Vinylex, a satin finish that doesn't attract dirt.

I spray the solution on a regular sponge and wipe the tire. Also use this in the engine bay on hoses and covers. On the dash as well..the dust doesn't stick so it is easily wiped off without streaking the finish, even with a damp cloth.

this stuff.

more shine less time by stoner is better than all of those products. spray it on clean or dirty tires one coat NO WIPING for a matte black look. after youve done the 4th tire respray in the same sequence for the gloss look. and no snobby comments about 'bling' or 'smart' looks. I ****ing hate snobs. the local lexus dealer's detail guy recommends stoner procucts by the way.

Hey Man, there's no need for that attitude. We're all trying to help Darius 2004 out. No one's being snobby, except for maybe one person. . .
