Even though the pics probably don't do it justice, it looks damn good, I imagine they're pretty happy.

And now you get to kick back and dream about the spring, hehe. Nice work!

Thought I'd give you guys a little update.

Booked another appt for the spring for a full detail with my new PC that I'll be getting shortly.

She also mentioned she would like to take me out to see a movie, either this weekend or next!

Hey Technics, is this the same lady as the one whom you detailed her Acura TL a few months ago? The one who's also married?

Default What would you charge your boss....................?

First off Technics how'd the spring detail go? Very curious to find out how your "movie" went.
I dug up this thread because a few co-workers of mine have taken notice to the exceptional detail I do for my own car and they have been asking lately if I'd be interested in doing a detail on their cars. One has a Black Jag the other a silver 745i Bimmer both cars are fairly new (i think the bimmer is an 03 and the Jag an 05) so I don't know if a polish or compound will be needed. If so I do own a p/c to make life easier. I searched this thread to come up with pricing and I think I found out what I needed to. My local detailer charges approx $125 for exterior detail and about the same for an interior detail. I usually don't do both in the same day. Interior one day exterior the next. What I can do is wash, clay, wax and clean wheels and tire dressing then Vacuum carpets and trunk and clean windows. Is it fair to charge $125 for that? Then for another day do leather clean and condition and clean & protect all vinyl and rubber for say $75? I also regret to inform that both co-workers are male and I won't be getting any breakfast. However one is my boss (the Jag) and he asked to give him pricing based on my time and his time. Meaning if I did it while I was at work. Should I just do it as if I was working overtime??

Domenic, what you've described is what I call a "Wash & Wax" job. It takes me about 3 hours generally and i get between $85 and $100 for it in my area, depending on vehicle size etc.

So, that's a *bit* on the high side unless you're doing some other things as well, BUT, I say if they're willing to pay you that, by all means-GO FOR IT!

In a city like NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, that would be a fair price for a wash & wax job and interior vac, dress tires deal. You always need to see what the going rate in your area is for similar work, then take it from there. You may be right where you need to be for your location.

Best of luck, let us all know how it goes.
