i bought the p21s when i first bought my car and then switched to zaino
but after what you have written

I just use the grey foam applicator to apply to the car after a wash and claying and rinse. I like to use PakShak ultrafines for buffing off the wax but if you just wait 15-20 seconds it is very easy to remove so any MF works very well. The Sonus buffing MF towels are also good for this.
I'm going to be trying the Optimum products soon. I will let you know how that works for me.
