I may have been having a bad day when I tried out the Max Wax. I tested it on a dark blue and it didn't seem to give the depth I was looking for.
I ordered the MaxWax and Liquid Souveran at the same time and I just liked the LS better. I really need to find something to use the MW on because I have 2 full containers of the stuff.

Well, I finally used the MaxWax with great success. Yesterday, I helped a friend detail his Suziki 750, which is a deep electric blue mtallic with white metallic trim. The MW did make the flakes POP.......my friend was amazed and said the flakes showed up more after the detail than when the bike was new. I guess I will try it on some of my other vehicles during their next detail.

Thank you! Just placed the order with some other stuff. I read the website and it doesn't seem like I need to clay but I ordered it anyway. Thanks again.

Trust me, you want to clay if your car has never been clayed before. You will see a difference.
When you get your clay, do a comparison on your hood. 50/50 with and without clay. Then run your hand over both sides and also notice the color. You will definitely see and feel a difference.
Good luck.

I'm with Tod. I did a clay, polish and wax job on my GS last weekend. It's a completely different look. One thing that I found was more dings or rock marks. I need to do some repairs. Question..... small scratches from rock.. do it yourself with a Lexus touch-up pen or have an autobody shop do it?

I've used Langka and got amazing results. Fine scratches afterwards, so I opted to not use the sealant that comes with the kit, and just polished out the scratches. Couldn't tell the chips were ever there.

I'm with VroomVroom. Pinacle Souveran over Four Star UPP. Long lasting, deep, mirror like shine. Haven't found anything that tops it. A little pricey, but haven't seen anything that looks better yet.
If I notice any defects/swirls, I'll first use Klasse AIO followed by Souveran.

I am surprised there wasn't much for the 3m line. I generally use Megiures Gold Class for every month to month use during the summer months. Really deep shine but will "melt" off pretty quick. I guess the shine outweighs the rubbing on and off often.
But because I live around Chicago I give it a good coat of 3m wax in the fall just before it starts getting too cold to detail. It doesn't shine as well as the Gold Class, but it does still bead up till after it starts warming up for the spring clean-up and still looks pretty alright after going through a winter carwash.
