wow Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax is kicking some azz.....I never thought it was so popular!

I use it because I've had great results, its available everywhere, and its not expensive. i've tried the zaino products, but they just go overboard with their stuff. only zaino I use now is "leather in a bottle" -- which I love.

Just started using Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax. Easy to put on and take off, no residue and an awesome shine. Not sure about durability but I also use Duragloss Aquawax as a QD in between waxes and it doesn't seem to detract from the shine as far as I can see

Default Meguiars NXT wax

Really unbelievable ease of use, comes off easy and leaves a fantastic shine.

Been using Meguires Gold Class for the last few years. Use the Porter Cable to apply and remove with a microfiber cloth.

Anyone who has never has a good microfiber towel, do yoursel a favor and get one or two. Nothing buffs of the wax in my opinion!

Only thing I hate about waxing is the static charge that attracts dust afterwards!

Dealer does something special once a year, if any paint problems they fix it. Dealer called it a Propac when I bought the car, some kind of teflon treatment for the paint, cost $600 for interior leather and exterior paint for 5 years. Never needs to be waxed inbetween applications. I also had them do a clear bra on the bumper hood front fenders and mirrors, So I'm lazy

Klasse products, natty's blue, nxt v2, and a whole lot of microfiber towels..

Klasse AIO/Sealant - tried it because I haven't read a bad thing about em. sealant really does last a looong time. top it with Natty's
Natty's - hard to top the hard glare this wax produces on dark cars and for the price.
Nxt - what I use when I wax other peoples cars. cheap and nice shine. v2 supposed to last a little longer than v1

I've used a one-step product polish called Astroshield for years. You rub it on ... and then rub it off. It simply works and you can re-coat immediately after the first coat. The only downside (a common problem with waxes/polishes) is the dust. A quart sized can can be bought at most any chain auto parts store and here in Florida the protection is fantastic and lasts 3 to 6 months.

Have to put another  for NXT. Particularly NXT 2.0.

The 2.0 has a very similar shine and quality to the 1.0 -- But here are the differences in my 'result'.

NXT 2.0 is equal to 1.0 and greater in these aspects:

1) a SLIGHT greater shine,.. maybe 5% -- Wouldn't be worth it if this was the only difference.

2) More depth.

3) MUCH more smoothness to the touch. Although 1.0 was still very acceptable.

4) Smells better..

5) MUCH easier application,..

6) Considerably thinner layers.

7) As can be expected, removal is improved drastically. Depending on how many layers, or thickness applied.. It is almost effortless to remove even by hand.

8) As impossible as it might seem,.. water beads at least 30% better than its predecessor. I had 1.0 on and it was 2 weeks old. So was a very good comparison as the 1.0 was fresh.

9) Inexpensive in comparison to other sealants/waxes of similar caliber quality.

10) Liquid application. First liquid wax I respect so far. (have always been a die hard of paste)

11) Takes less of the product for the same or better result.

12) Even for someone like myself who tends to use more than needed, by design of the liquid, you don't end up wasting it. Go figure

NXT and Zaino are the two hugely popular products. I've never used Zaino but have seen the results. I won't say NXT 2.0 is equal to Zaino as it is comparing apples and oranges, but .. If you are on a budget and are inexperienced.. NXT 2.0 is a good alternative to start with, and can be found at Walmart, and most any auto parts stores.

Other products I use:

Meg's Gold Class Leather Cleaner/Conditoiner
Lexol (Switching to this)

But this is wax's and polishes.. so I guess it isn't appropriate to list general detail products

The why?

I am after high technology, durability and the immediate results. NXT 2.0 gives you all of that. I like the 'idea' that it is curing and sealing for 12-36hours after application and removal. I like the fact that it is protecting. I love the definite way it looks, and adore the way your car feels after use.

Traditional Carnuba waxes alone have gone out the door for me. Though as I get into purchasing a machine, more specific products will be bought and some layering of Carnuba might come back into the picture, not sure.

Good poll -- Looks like every product has some fans! =)
