Default how do i get the shine out of leather seats?

i just cleaned my leather seats for the very first time using meguire's leather conditioner/ cleaner. my seats are black and have a very dull finish to them. after sing the meguires product, my seats now have a shine to them. i like the seats with no shine. hoe do i get them back to the way they were? meguires said that the product would not make it shiny but yet it did.

Just use a dedicated leather cleaner like Lexol, or a Woolite & water mix (6 parts water, 1 part Woolite). That should remove the shiny patina.

Then condition with something less shiny, like Zaino's Z10. Maybe some of the other folks can recommend some other non-shiny conditioners that they have come across too. Cheers.
