Oxy Clean Pwnz me and my SC!

I'm sure it tells you this on the box, but did you use a washrag or like a hardcore brush to get your stains out. I REALLY need to try this, especially with my new leather coming!!

Use the hardest plastic bristle brush you can find that is still flexible.

I cleaned my whole carpet with this today. Seems to help a little bit, but not on the monster stains I have in my car. Tomorrow I'm going to try it again, let it soak and scrub again and THEN suck it out with my little green machine. I think that might help a lot more. I might even try putting the solution in the little carpet cleaner!

After a quick run to the store, and $8 later, my Sc looks like brand new. yep..$8
See what you think!
First, i had a bad window seal that was allowing the water to get in (fixed that).

I tried it. It's not working for me... Did you blot it out afterwards or wet vac?
When I was using it, it was just kinda spreading the grossness around. I tried doing all of the carpet in the car. And should I be using alot of the solution or just enough to get it wet?
I was scrubbing pretty hard and no huge improvement.

Oxy clean works but it looks like it bleaches the carpet to a lighter color. My friend tried it on his car and the carpet looks very white, I seriously doubt this is the original color. Anyone get the same results?

All stains & dirt are not created equal, and 1 product won't work in every case. Some stains will "set" and then there's often little that will take them completely out. As for OxyClean and the like...
I want everyone here to understand something...the "oxy" products are essentially a powdered bleach that is *supposedly* safe for colors. The problem is, it's not safe for everything dyed, as some of you are finding out. Also, the higher the concentrations of the Oxy in the cleaning mix, the bigger the risks. More is NOT necessarily better. Use it according to the labled directions for dilution. Even then, you never really know if some fabrics will get the bleaching effect.
The general approach on dirt and stains is to use the following types of cleaners for the related causes;
Alkaline cleaner for organic soil (Simple Green etc.)
Acid based cleaner for synthetic soil ( Citrus cleaners etc.)
Solvent based cleaner for petroleum based soil (Mineral Spirits, Goof Off etc.)
Cheers.

Bulls eye blotch is winning
Guitarman-- what if you don't know what you have? Have a big Walmart red blotch on the carpet. Tried to moisten the area and absorb the stain. Tried woolite diluted 6:1 then 3:1, tried Oxy Magic by Armor All, tried Nature's Miracle enzymatic pet and stain remover. Hands now feel like sand paper, but the stain is still there. This bloctch is kickin my butt. Its in the corner, so I can't even hide it with floormats. Any help is great. Thanks
