Anyone have a recommendation for someone who can re-paint the pinstripe on the driver's side on my 1993 SC400. The car was hit by a truck bumper from the door back to the antenna, so a new quarter panel is in the works. I amlooking in the Columbia/Orangeburg, SC or Charlotte, NC areas for someone who can paint the pintripe to match the passenger's side striping. I have not called the dealers in either city to check if they know someone. While I am asking, any idea what that may cost (for insurance purposes)?

Mark at Collision Specialties in Indian Trail (south side of Charlotte off Independence) has done great work on my GS. On pinstripe work, I've seen him remove the pinstripe on mine, lol and apply one that was decal (not painted), but he has great attention to detail.

Tell him Dave with the black Lexus told you to check him out. Can google 'collision speciailties indian trail' and you'll find the number in a bodyshop online directory.

Hendrick may do a decent job too - they share their bodyshop with City Chevrolet though, and a couple of friends of mine have had problems (with BMWs worked on from Hendrick BMW). Sometimes they outtask to Loren at Import Paint & Body and he does exceptional work. He's a block down on Independence from Hendrick.
