I just ordered some Z1, Z2 and Z6 from a local Zaino distributor. Now, I know you suppose to use polish/wax only once every couple of months but if I use it every other week to keep the shine is it going to eventually hurt the paint? I heard this from a local Pep Boy salesman.

Angry Stop Shopping There!!

Diesel - I'd have to stop shopping at Pep Boyz ( or at least THAT one!! ). If ya use an abrasive polish every week ( unnecessary in almost every instance, IMO ), I'd imagine that U would eventually wear down the clear coat or, in the case of the Lexus black, the paint. However, Zaino contains NO abrasives so U can feel safe using it every weekend. I've applied at least one coat of either Z-3 or Z-5 every other weekend for almost 1.5 years now ( usually a coat of both ) & the GS continues to shine better than new! I do, however ( in spite of Sal Zaino's advice ) use a clear coat safe polish on the car once a year to really clean the paint. Then I do the Claybar; Z-1; well, U know the drill!!

Default zaino

DIESELMAN63 :

That shouldn't be a problem with Zaino's polishes. They, unlike most waxes, do not contain any abrasives or solvents. You have to be a little more careful when drying your car off from a wash, removing any water spots as the polishes won't do this. However this makes them easier to apply and remove, and multiple coats just deepen the shine.

BUT! I'm only a satisfied customer. Please visit his website and email Sal questions. He answered all of my questions within 24 hours and was very polite.
