What is some prep work and/or finish work to be done before doing a touch up job for rock chips on the hood? I just got some of the touch up paint 202 onyx black and I want to get started on doing some work to my hood.

Hey Domenic, here's a link to the entire run-down on the paint touch up procedure;

The main points will be degreasing, sanding/scuffing slightly, degreasing again, then adding paint to a certain level, allowing cure time, then sanding and/or compounding the spots flush with the existing paint.
It's tedious, but if you take your time they'll turn out pretty good. You'll know they're there, but most everyone else won't see them unless you point them out. Good luck!
