I've bought two OEM sets of black pearl emblems and don't recall ever seeing that warning... are these from Lexus?
Now back to the what I consider the main topic in your post... PLEASE do not go to car washes with brushes!!!! They are absolutely the worst thing for putting all sorts of scratches in your paint, no matter how 'modern' they are or if they use cloth or synthetic. At a minimum go to a touchless wash, which still isn't great because of the recycled water and potential for random particles to come shooting at your car paint at high velocity in the water.

I wouldnt go to the brush car wash. I only wash my car at home but have gone to the do it yourself wash with the high pressure hose. Most have a sensitive trigger so you can limit the amount of force with which the water comes out. I didnt have a problem using them when I did though. But be careful with the black pearl emblems. The clear coat looks like it is peeling on my L and I will need to replace it soon.

Guess I'm not that obsessed. Only takes one minute to drive thru my local car wash. Another minute to dry it (it's already 98% dry coming out.) Then the 5-minute drive home helps dry out the wheels and the brake.
