Look like these guys can fix the scrapes without repainting the whole panel. Keeping the factory paint as much as possible is good idea because the factory paint is more durable and color match sometime is difficult, example: silver.

The technical side of it has been around a while, but not many people do it. It involves special additives that allow the clear to " melt in" to the surrounding paint, along with special prep to go along with it. Most quality & high end shops can do it.
One company that advertises it is Novus, the glass company. You may want to look them up in the Yellow pages and see if they have a local affiliate that does it.
They can even do pearls that way, without repainting the entire panel, pretty neat.

NO...they will want to paint the panel, because when they do thatm the have to blend halfway into the next panel...the fender blender is a MUCH better idea for those of us who have just a couple of HORRIBLE spots. cost for most Large blends doesnt go over $150.
EDIT:

thats an example fo a $150 job.

In regards to the sc430 picture, it looks like they just applied some rubbing compound and some elbow grease. Then they clear coated the area.
I have had similar damage like that before and it looked just like new after 4 hours of polishing with the rubbing compound. From what I gather, using rubbing compound is similar to the principle of sanding paint to get it to match the area. The rubbing compound just blends the area. You can find rubbing compound at your local auto store or at least at my local auto store
