Default Washing cars.... had enough of crappy cheap hose brushes

*sigh*

I'm on my 4th or 5th car brush now (the long type, with the attached hose connector at the end). I love them, but they always seem to:

1. **** all over me half the time, and then break completely, or
2. Launch themselves halfway into space when the bungee comes loose, or
3. Spurt a little fine 'syringe' style jet of water back into my face,
4. Drip endlessly onto my otherwise would-be dry sandals,

Is there one that is not in 2 pieces, not plastic, and not a POS? Is there a snap-on car brush?

Dean

I think they are all POS. I never use them. My dad had us use them when we washed his 18 wheeler, but they always brooke.

I just use a wash mitt, a bucket with soap and water, and a pressure washer instead of a hose. It's much easier and gets the dirt off with a lot less soap, since its high pressure

This is a great brush

and this is a great wash mop.

I just used both on my RX330 yesterday. No scratching and it easily dislodges dirt and bugs.

Sheepskin or MF mitt?

I've got 3 sheepskin mits, but the thing is two of them have like this very thin nylon grating on one side, I suppose its for scrubbing but it really doesn't make me feel good using it. I can't help but think it strips my wax, but after a wash, the wax is still on there Just feels weird using that mitt, so I try to save the ones with the grating for the lower door panels and bumpers.

I believe they are sheepskin. The are manufactured by turtle wax.

If its yellowish/golden, its sheepskin. If its white, it's Micro Fiber. Turtle Wax makes both

I have yet to try an MF wash mitt, anybody use one?

You mean the MF mitt dries quickly right? You don't allow the water to dry on your car's surface right?

That's a lot of money
My formula:

$15 per year for wax
$20 per year for polish
$10 per year for Swirl Remover
$12 per year for Wash Mitts
$10 per year for Soap
$10 per year for MF towels
=
$77 per YEAR on exterior detailing, plus an hour a week, and 3-4 hours once a month.

So for 80 bucks a year and 6-8 hours a month, you could be saving $2430 (theoretically, [(52 x 50) - 80])

OH BOY you are missing a DEAL on MF towels. Man TWENTY, yes TWO ZERO 16"x16" MF towels for 9.99 at COSTCO. What a deal it was. Check Costco Online, to see if they have it there. This wasn't even a sale in Costco, I just came across them while browsing the automotive aisle. They weren't in the monthly flyer as on sale or anything. The brand is Sunset Products.

Ultra-Soft Micro Fiber Auto-Cloths by Sunset Products.

If you've got a Costco near you, go check it out man
