I just bought the Poorboys SSR 2.5 and 1 and was wondering how well this works. I am going to be using the Porter Cable and the lake country pads, the yellow ones. Do I need to be worried about cutting into the paint? I know with these products to use no pressure on the PC, but do I still go in the figure 8 pattern? My scratches are very fine so I think I am just going to start out with the SSR 1 and see if that takes care of them. Thanks for the help and the great write up

SSR2.5 is simply the best swirl mark remover I have ever used and it can be used in the sun.
The yellow pad should be safe for avoid cutting into the paint but you can use a blue or grey finishing pad as well. I would follow with SSR1 or a paint cleansing lotion.

WOW!! Now that is a thorough detailing list. I think I finally found someone that uses more products than I do. Good job. I guess I need to step my game up a little.

Thanks Magneto...I wanted to put a list together for the local United Way car show. I should have brought an American car instead
but it was for a great cause. I lost to a Cadillac with swirls...

Thanks for the help. I did the roof, and trunk with the poorboys SSR 2.5 and 1, because they were they only places where the light scratches were noticeable, and then applied the Menzerna glaze to the whole car followed by some NXT wax on top and man that shine is incredible. I really love the glossy look I got from it, it has been the glossiest finish I have had yet. I plan to go to either pinnacle wax or maybe try something else, but I know the pinnacle products work very well. Let me know what your suggestions are

Definitely go Pinnacle Rich.
There is a buy one, get one sale on Souveran now...
Way better than NXT in my experience...wetter, deeper, more reflective, easier to apply...

The NXT has worked well for me but I knew it was only a temporary wax until I decided what I really want to use. I know the pinnacle stuff is a little pricey but from the reviews I have read it is more than worth it. Do you put this wax on by hand or by buffer? The only part I really used the buffer for was the Poorboys SSR products. I did the glaze and the wax by hand. Do you think I would get even better results if I did it by buffer?

I can recommend a less pricey alternative to Souveran...Poorboys Nattys is a superb wax, only slightly less wet looking than Souveran.
The SSRs work much better by PC imho but I only hand wax my cars. That seems to produce better results.
