Default ran over a paint puddle and now its getting to me

this happened pretty long ago fyi. i was driving one night on the highway. didnt noticed until i came home and saw the right side of my car covere din splats of white house paint. i quickly cleaned it off and even used gasoline to loosen up the paint. most of it is off, but there are still specs on it. i was just wondering is there ANYTHING else that can take this off? i tried alcohol and even gasoline. this week i will try paint thiner if possible. my door, part of quarter panel, wheel well, fender r covered with these annoying specs. everytime i wash my car and go out everyone tells me that my car is still dirty. but it is not. godamnit im sad. please help.

I'd stay away from paint thinner.

heck, I wouldn't have used gasoline.

Try a claybar.

Try an aggressive detailing clay. Be sure to follow up with a multi-step polish afterwards.

BTW, I think this should be in the detsiling forum.

Use a very lightly coarsed rubbing compound.... I had some pearl over spray on my SC's front end and it took it right off, plus it only removed the wax and I just had to throw some back on and it looks like new! try that before a clay bar.

Yeah use rubbing compound then give it a good polish. Then after that you should wash and wax your car

I got some paint on my car onetime from the leatherseat paint, finally got it off with scrubbing and rubbing compound.

Try using 2000 grit sand paper and wet sanding off the paint. Then using a rotary buffer buff the area out with 3M polishing compound.

I guarantee the parts you polished will look better then the rest of your car.

The tricky part is using the rotary buffer. If u dont know how to use it right, u can make things worse.
